QHSE Advisor 

A leading multi-discipline contractor has an opportunity for a health and safety advisor to join a progressive company.

Reporting to the Health and Safety Director, the health and safety advisor will be able to work within the health and Safety department and whichever section of the business allocated. The health and safety advisor will be able to work with the Project Management teams to ensure that the projects are delivered safely and also provide assistance to the site-based teams with advice at that level. The role requires nationwide travel to sites with some overnight stays.

Key responsibilities:

* Assisting with pre-construction information;

* Compiling construction phase plans;

* Undertaking site Audits and completing reports;

* Producing method statements and risk assessments;

* Carry out inductions and toolbox talks;

* Carry out accident and incident investigations;

Qualifications and Experience:

* NEBOSH General/Construction;

* CSCS card;

* Knowledge of the CDM 2015 regulations;

Desirable:

* Knowledge of the Telecoms industry

Key Qualities:

* Attention to detail;

* Excellent communicator;

Must be able to work in a team and also on own initiative and possess a full clean driving licence.

RF Design Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys for In Building Solutions
  • Produce design models using iBwave
  • Troubleshooting of in-building DAS & RF Data collection
  • Produce and analyse reports
  • Produce/review detailed design and As Built reports.
  • Produce IBS Link budgets

Required Knowledge/Skills:

  • Knowledge of 2G, 3G and 4G radio networks and architectures
  • Experience with in-building wireless network design tool iBwave is essential
  • Experience in providing coverage solutions such as small cells, repeaters or Active/Passive DAS systems
  • Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to summarise data and communicate at the appropriate level with management and business customers.
  • Knowledge of UMTS & LTE System hardware
  • Knowledge of active DAS products
  • Knowledge of drive and walk testing in internal and external environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, as well as data collection/analysis software packages: TEMS, NEMO, XCAL, Map info etc.
  • Proficiency in utilisation of RF data collection tools/equipment: Spectrum analyser, RF scanners, CW transmitters, Cable testers etc.
  • Expert knowledge of RF principles and link budgeting.
  • Working knowledge of specific technologies – GSM/UMTS/LTE/Wi-Fi.
  • Working knowledge of IP networking on a basic level, configuration of routers, switches, VPN’s, understanding of IPv4 and IPv6 addressing and subnetting
  • Good understanding of In Building Coverage solution
