Right First Time – Fair Pay Time

As of February 2019, Virtua became accredited by the Living Wage to ensure all employees receive fair pay.

What is the Living Wage?

In April 2016, the government introduced a higher minimum wage rate for employees over 25. This is a result of the Living Wage campaign, even calling it the ‘national living wage’.

However, the government’s national living wage doesn’t consider what employees and their families need to live. Instead, it is based on a target to reach 60% of median earnings by 2020.

The real Living Wage is voluntary and paid by over 4,700 UK businesses who believe their staff deserve a fair day’s pay for a hard day’s work.

Why have we joined?

You spend around 80% of your life working – so here at Virtua we understand how important that other 20% is. As a result, Virtua wants our hard-working staff to have a fair wage and be able to spend quality time with their families, on holiday days out or treating their other half to that ‘promised’ romantic dinner!

“One of our core values is ‘Right First Time’ – and helping us to achieve this is our employees. If you want to attract and keep the best people you need to make sure you are always offering a just and competitive wage.
