Who are Hyperoptic?

Hyperoptic offer superfast full fibre to businesses and homes nationwide, and were named ‘Best Superfast Broadband’ by the Internet Service Providers’ Association for the sixth consecutive year in 2018.

Following several successful rounds of funding to accelerate their full fibre rollout, their ambition is to make their service available to 2 million homes and businesses by 2021, and 5 million by 2024.

The Project

Virtua will be providing Hyperoptic with a full turn key FTTH solution for thousands of homes during 2019. The project will be nationwide, but our primary focus will be on the cities of Southampton and London.

Each of the estates will involve the build and final testing of a full fibre to the home solution. The initial buildings are all retro fit – meaning they are pre-existing buildings with no current fibre solution in place.

As well as running cabling and splicing fibre our specialist engineers will also be taking on specialist works such as abseiling.

London Focus

The project has already begun with some estates in London now complete. Southampton has just begun with our team running cables on the Canberra Towers Estate. We are looking for the entire project to be complete within a year. Future works will involve Bournemouth and potentially Birmingham.
