PROJECT

One of our expert broadcast teams have been undertaking various groundworks  at this prestigious Broadcast site. These works included installing x-site feeders and interconnecting rigid lines.

SOLUTION

These installations will allow for temporary transportables to be connected to the existing combiner systems, thus allowing our customer to retune the existing combiner modules without disruption to any broadcasting services.

The x-site feeder and transportable works are temporary and will eventually need to be decommissioned. However to accommodate some channel changes, interconnecting rigid line had to be permanently redesigned and left installed.

Due to the nature of the site and multiple contractors carrying out various works, we had to stick to tight deadlines and make sure we were only on site during the allotted time scales. Our team consisted of 3 engineers and a commissioning engineer to ensure that our installed equipment is in line with our customer’s specifications.

BENEFIT

These works are part of the larger 700MHz clearance programme which is a UK wide project involving multiple works from the ground up in order to make space for future technologies. We have been involved on this project with our customer for over 5 years, though this particular site took our team 12 days to complete. After works were complete the site was fully tested and commissioned to ensure everything was working smoothly.
