Leading communication and infrastructure services provider Virtua is partnering with Openreach, the UK’s digital network business, to help build its next generation full fibre network.

Virtua has been contracted to help build Openreach’s new, future-proof Fibre-to-the-Premises broadband technology across the South East – as part of Openreach’s nationwide rollout to provide four million premises with full fibre connections by March 2021.

FTTP

Over the next year we’ve been tasked to install Openreach’s FTTP network to homes throughout the London, Essex, Dover, Margate and Brighton areas. Our teams of engineers will undertake several types of work including; Surveying, Civils, Splicing, Cable Running and Testing.

The installation work will provide thousands of local homes and businesses with access to ultrafast future-proofed full fibre. Check to see if your postcode is already available for their network here.

Structured Cabling

Our Network Engineers will also be working on behalf of Openreach providing network and data cabling support to public authorities and Openreach’s customers. Works will include extending existing network build and adding entirely new infrastructure to new locations.

Up First… Leadenhall Market

Our first project already underway is providing a full fibre network to Leadenhall Market. Located in London, the grade 2 listed indoor market is home to multiple vendors all being able to soon benefit from Openreach’s network. Currently in the survey stage but soon to move through to design and finally build.

Offering The Complete Solution

We already have extensive understanding of delivering both FTTP and Structured Cabling Solutions UK Wide. It was this past experience, and being able to offer the complete solution which helped secure our partnership with Openreach. Drawing on our expertise we could offer Openreach a bespoke project delivery to their terms and specifications.
