Looking for new talent to work in our telecoms department, we recently hosted an apprenticeship day in our Banbury offices. In association with The ITP we invited 9 candidates to join us for the day.
“The assessment day was a huge success. We presented Virtua with 9 candidates, all of which performed extremely well in all aspects of the day. This included engineering assessments, group exercises, practical demonstrations, interviews and candidate presentations. It was a difficult decision to choose 2 of the 9 candidates but we felt that the candidates chosen demonstrated various qualities that would be ideal for this particular apprenticeship role. The candidates were asked to provide a short video at the end of the assessment day to give us their feedback, all emphasised on how laid-back and friendly the day was and how grateful they felt to both the ITP and Virtua for providing them with the opportunity and experience.”
Charlotte, Apprenticeship Scheme Manager, The ITP
"The passion and enthusiasm from the candidates made choosing just two of them challenging. The two successful candidates will go on to study a Unified Communications Technician level 3 qualification while spending time onsite gaining valuable practical experience on Virtua UK work streams.”
Adam, Engineering Manager, Virtua

Creating Opportunities
This is our 3rd apprenticeship day we have held with the ITP, from which we have previously employed 5 apprentices. Out of the 5, 1 moved into our health and safety department, 3 are half way through their course and 1 is now a fully qualified engineer working with us full time. Now we will have a further 2 joining the team.
We are committed to providing new opportunities and training within our industries and we wish our 2 new apprentices all the best for their studies and work with us.
