Congratulations Apprentices!
This month, we congratulate 2 of our apprentices for finishing their course with us. Firstly Daniel Billingham, who completed a telecommunication rigging apprenticeship, and Tiannah Beckford who completed her Level 3 Unified Communications Technician.
During her time here Tiannah mostly worked within our RF Solutions team, focusing on In-Building and Testing.
“I have enjoyed my time at Virtua and feel grateful for the opportunity to learn and develop new skills. Working on the numerous football stadiums have been the highlight of my time here at Virtua. Everyone at Virtua has made me feel welcome since joining, I’ve gained invaluable experience working with other engineers who have taken the time out to mentor me. Everything has been a challenge in a positive way. There are hard parts to everything so figuring it out and moving on to the next challenge has been the best way for me to learn.” – Tiannah
Dan has also been working within our RF Solutions team, however his focus was on cellular rigging.
“I have really enjoyed one of the steelwork projects I worked on, having the consistency and predictability helped me hone my skills. A highlight for me was working on the some of the inbuilding stadium installs. I am very grateful to one Virtua engineer in particular – Matt Woolman. He is incredibly knowledgeable, took the time to help show me how to do something and make sure I understood. Through my time at Virtua I feel I have learned lot and can be left to complete a set task in most situations.” – Dan
Virtua believe it is very important to give back to our communities, through charities, sponsorships and apprenticeships.
Adam Richards, our Procurement & Resource Director oversees our apprentices:
“Being able to help change the course of a young persons future, and impart our knowledge is something I find very rewarding within my role at Virtua. We have been pleased to host both Dan and Tiannah here at Virtua, we think they have both done brilliantly and have since offered them full time positions to stay on.” – Adam
