Virtua provides the full end to end Fibre to the Home service for all its customers. This service comprises the initial site survey to ascertain the specific requirements to deliver fibre optic cables to the building. A fully documented design showing both internal and external cable routes and the location of the Fibre to the Home connection points through to the full installation and build service including testing and commissioning. To help our customers better understand the process, we’ve focused in on our survey capabilities.

Fibre to the Home services is provided to individual homes known as SDU’s (Single Dwelling Units) and apartment blocks known as MDU’s (Multiple Dwelling Units). Each property and/or building is unique and require a specific tailored design to provide ultrafast full fibre broadband service.

Our team support our customer by arranging the surveys of buildings directly with the landlord. We take photos enabling our design team to plan cabling routes, thus providing a fibre service to all the flats from a single entry point within the building.

In addition to the initial survey and design service, Virtua also provide a full Rod & Rope service from the connection point located in the street to inside the property. This service ensures the underground ducting is fit for purpose and free of any blockages that could restrict the cables being installed to the property. Upon completion of these activities the design is complete and ready for customer approval to allow the build services to commence.
