Iver ATE Monopole Installation
PROJECT
Working on behalf of Arqiva, our Civils and Rigging teams have constructed a telecoms site. Located in Iver, near Slough the site consists of a 17.5m Monopole and equipment cabinets.
The new site has replaced the old T-Mobile tower and provides 2G and 3G services for Vodafone and 2G, 3G and 4G services for Telefonica (O2)
SOLUTION
After the initial site survey our team began the excavation for the reinforced concrete foundations. Once the foundations were complete, assembly of the Monopole began. This was then followed by the installation of 6 Antennas, 30 Feeders and 2 new equipment cabinets needed to produce the required cellular coverage across both Vodafone and Telefonica.
The T-Mobile antennas located on the existing tower, were then relocated onto the new monopole and the old tower removed.
BENEFIT
With the Monopole fully commissioned cellular coverage is now provided across the 2G, 3G and 4G spectrums.
The project took just over 2 weeks and was completed on time and within budget.
