Broadcast Installation – Feeders, Rigid Line, Combiners and Test Loads
PROJECT
Our expert Broadcast engineers have been installing Feeders and Rigid line at a broadcast site in the North of the UK. This project makes up a part of the larger P700 Program, designed to help free up bandwidth in order to make way for 5G.
SOLUTION
Along with the Team Leader and Project Engineer between 4-6 engineers have been working at the site for 12 weeks.
The team were installing air space feeders / rigid line / combiners and test loads. Now these temporary solutions are in place, work can begin on the existing combiners to be tuned into a different frequency, thus making space in the RF spectrum. Once works are complete parts of the temporary solutions will be decommissioned.
BENEFIT
Our installed solution will mean that works can be carried out to tune the existing combiners without having loss of services. Our customer can keep seamlessly broadcasting without the public even knowing that the project had ever happened.
